After I remarried and retired to AZ, I wrote two young adult novels. After completing the first novel, FIRST STEPS by Lorenda Lux, an editor at Columbia Univ. Summer Writing Festival approached me and explained that she would like to represent my novel, and then she also explained the many, many readings at universities, book signings at libraries, and many appearances on various media to promote the book. Since I am retired, I declined and had the book published through Amazon where my friends and former students were able to purchase the book while I wrote the sequel to it entitled, SECOND CHANCES by Lorenda Lux.

I taught a writing class prior to the pandemic at Rio Salada College and am currently teaching a class there now.

My education includes working for two newspapers, and then as a secretary before receiving my B.A. and teaching certificate. While teaching high school English for 25 years, I worked on my M.A. at Governors State University, Park Forest, IL and then received 62 hours of college credit in a cohort writing program from Roosevelt College in Chicago, IL. I also took writing classes at the Univ. of IA two summers, Columbia Univ., in OH for two summers, and Bard College in Hudson-on-Avon for two summers prior to my retirement. I now spend winters in Sun City West, AZ, and summers at my home in a suburb of Chicago.
