Hello. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I became an avid reader and lover of books while growing up in Oak Park, Illinois. I grew up on Nancy Drew and Hardy Boy mysteries and still love a good mystery. I continued enjoying books and being creative as both a mother and teacher of primary grades for over 25 years.

One of my goals as a mother and teacher was to instill a love of reading. I literally began reading the classics to my son the day he came home from the hospital. When we adopted our daughter, it took a while for her to develop an interest in books, and we finally got her listening to books on tape and exploring unusual genres. As a teacher I shared my passion for books and learning through the Magic Tree House series, Jan Brett’s beautifully illustrated books, and again the classics.

I often used real events to tell stories. I then tried my hand at writing for children, stories based on actual events. Publishing my stories became a new phase of my life as I share my tales with others. I now live in Arizona with my husband and a variety of pets.
