Susanne began her career at 19 in Los Angeles as a model and soon became a popular TV commercial spokesperson for many national name brands. She continued her career acting in numerous popular TV shows and films, and anchored the EMMY Award-winning PBS television documentary, "C.A.N.D.L.E.S., the Story of the Mengele Twins,” filmed on location in Auschwitz. She co-hosted/co-produced the radio series, "Courageous Grief Talk," and her numerous radio interviews and documentaries for World Broadcasting (100 million listeners worldwide) have been broadcast on NPR, CBC, ABC, a.o.

Her book, "Mocha Musings: Reflections on life, love, and chance encounters" earned high praise. Severeid's collection of essays on everyday slices of life ranging from the love of an old dog to women’s issues and living our best life are inspirational and laced with warmth, wit, and wisdom.
"Susanne Severeid is that rare writer . . . she offers balanced, insightful, informative essays that reflect not only knowledge, but also soul." (Bert Etling, editor, Daily Tidings newspaper.)
She is the author of "The Death of Milly Mahoney," an acclaimed murder mystery and winner of Second Prize in Published Fiction, Arizona Authors Association. This novel, set against the backdrop of Los Angeles and the Hollywood film industry business, weaves in Susanne's own knowledge and background as a former model/actress.
"A fine novel. Milly grabs your attention from the start, with well-crafted characters, a plot that twists and turns, and a conclusion that satisfies." Karen Hanen, host of Art Beat, KONP Radio
