A Bit About Me
My first story was about a worm.
I was barely tall enough to reach the kitchen cupboard, but I knew—with all the conviction a ten-year-old could muster—that this was going to be my masterpiece. Armed with a pencil and a spiral notebook, I crafted what I was certain would be the next great American novel. (Spoiler: it wasn’t. But that worm had character.)
That notebook kicked off a lifelong love affair with storytelling. While other kids collected stickers, I hoarded journals. While my friends were outside playing, I was inside the neighborhood library with a towering stack of TBRs. Stories weren’t just interesting—they were home.
That passion led me into my first job as a junior copywriter, where I discovered that even a product description could carry a story if you listened closely enough. Eventually, I moved into magazine editing (back when print was a thing), where I learned to shape long-form narrative—developing raw ideas into resonant, emotionally-driven pieces.
Somewhere along the way, I realized:
I don’t just love telling stories.
I love helping others tell theirs.
Today, I’m a literary fiction writer and developmental editor who specializes in emotionally-driven books that stir the soul and stay with the reader.
I’ve worked across dozens of genres and hundreds of manuscripts, but the thread is always the same: I help writers go deeper. I help them find the heart of their book—and then refine every chapter until it beats.
And I bring more than just skill—I bring understanding. I know what it feels like to pour your truth onto the page and then hand it to someone else, hoping they’ll really see it. I’ve been there. I am there.
That story you’ve been carrying quietly?
The one tugging at your chest and keeping you up at night?
It deserves to be seen.
It deserves to be shaped with care.
And I’d be honored to help you do just that.
