A Bit About Me
I am Kim Green, writing and life coach, author, editor, copywriter and creative consultant. I am passionate about words and I believe that words have the power to change lives and make dreams come true, as they have for me. Three times.
The first time my word dreams came true ... was when I was hired as a copywriter for Sony Music Entertainment International where I quickly became a Senior Copy Director. I was responsible for writing all of the copy for Def Jam soon after it was acquired by Sony. My extensive love and knowledge of all genres of music made it possible for me to write copy for the entire Def Jam roster including Public Enemy as well as for R&B/Pop legends Sade, Babyface, Maxwell, The Fugees, Jamiroquai and countless others…
The second time my word dreams came true…was when I took a leap of faith to become an entrepreneur. As a freelance music journalist, I have interviewed legends George Clinton, Queen Latifah, David Byrne, Al Jarreau, Isaac Hayes, Andreas Vollenweider, and Tupac Shakur.
I have also had the great fortune to work with businesses and non-profits of all sizes providing mission and vision statements, marketing copy, SEO website content, real estate listings, creative direction, concept development and facilitating writing workshops. For individual clients, I have written artist bios, original prose, book jacket copy, and speeches. I also offer editorial guidance, manuscript critique, and editing.
The third time my word dreams came true…was when I penned three books. All of this is to say that you can trust me with your truth and your words.
Why I Love What I Do:
My favorite part of my work is witnessing the magic of transformation through improved communication.
I am honored by the trust that my clients have in me. My greatest offerings are my vast knowledge and experience in Creative Services, Writing, Coaching, Publishing, and above all Truth-telling. I pride myself on being a wellspring of compassion and restoring confidence to those who are ready to surrender to the process of growth, so that they can accomplish all that they desire.
I Offer New Ways of Thinking:
As a former entertainment journalist, I have been trained to ask the right questions so that clients can face the core of what they truly want for their books as well as for their lives. I offer new ways of thinking. And I am sure that my clients value my confidentiality, integrity, rigor and partnership. As a coach, I bring the structure and a new shot at lost accountability that may have formerly been consumed by…excuses, naysayers, self-doubt, family…in other words, life.
I Work With:
…individuals in need of the right words and creative solutions.
…tentative writers who have a book inside them that is ready to blossom.
…accomplished authors who need accountability and fresh eyes on their work.
…humans who feels defeated and too far away from their dreams.
…small businesses that want to realign their employees with their mission and vision for the company.
…companies who want to launch a new internal communication tool and don’t know where to begin.
I work with those seeking transformation.
