A Bit About Me
I am the author of "Ozzi's Boys" which is an action-packed fiction and "Hartford City...A Novel", both published by Mill City Press.
I grew up as a military brat and was fortunate to have absolutely wonderful parents who made each move an adventure. Living in Germany and France between the ages of 4 and 9 years old, I was introduced to both the languages and cultures of post-WWII Europe. I then returned back to the US and lived in Limestone, Maine on the then, US Air Force Base, where adventure became daily by simply walking outside of my front door into what was to become the Aroostook National Wildlife Refuge.
Later returning to the Washington, DC area in Falls Church, Virginia, I completed my educational years remaining in that region. I joined the CIA as a lock & safe technician and later joined the Fairfax County Police Department where I made my career. Except on long-term assignments overseas with various US Government departments and US Army after my retirement from the police department, the Northern Neck / Middle-Peninsula region of Virginia remained my home for another decade. I eventually moved across country to the Desert Southwest specifically, Tucson, Arizona where I remain today.
As a US Forest Service volunteer, I take-off on solo trips around the country to predominantly National Forests, Parks & Monuments with my camper-trailer and/or tent. I enjoy writing fiction about topics I know. I also enjoy nature and the wilderness in all her forms and spend much of my time "out-there" mostly solo hiking and camping every chance I get. My passion is nature, wildlife and its conservation - and being involved in reintroduction projects; ie. the Gray Wolf, Bighorn Sheep and Mountain Lions. I love this life and this great place we call North America.
