Works By Dr. David J. Doperak:
A Bit About Me
Dr. David J. Doperak, DC, writes from a rare intersection of clinical expertise, human experience, and a deep understanding of how the body moves through the world. With more than two decades devoted to biomechanics, he has built his career around a simple but transformative belief: when the feet function well, the entire body thrives. His work is driven by a passion for helping people move without pain and by a commitment to uncovering the subtle biomechanics behind how we walk, stand, and stabilize ourselves in everyday life.
His clinical work has given him thousands of opportunities to see how restoring proper foot function can transform posture, energy, and long term mobility. His approach centers on designing MASS posture custom calibrated foot orthotics, using them not only to support the feet but to enhance the performance of the entire kinetic chain. Known for his patient centered approach, he listens deeply, explains clearly, and helps people find solutions that genuinely fit their lives.
Before establishing his practice, Dr. Doperak worked within large healthcare systems as a Physician Reviewer and later Associate Clinical Director. There, he navigated utilization reviews, peer evaluations, and accreditation processes—experiences that revealed how easily real people can be lost inside institutional machinery. Those insights continue to shape his writing, inspiring him to illuminate the stories, struggles, and quiet victories that unfold behind the scenes of healthcare.
His work spans evidence based analysis and human centered storytelling. His nonfiction book, THE POWER BENEATH YOU, explores the biomechanics of movement and the profound impact of foot function on whole body health. His novella, NOT MEDICALLY NECESSARY, extends his mission into fiction—giving voice to individuals navigating the space between policy and humanity, and reminding readers that behind every chart, every decision, and every step is a person trying to move forward with strength and stability.
Across both fiction and nonfiction, Dr. Doperak is drawn to the overlooked and the underestimated—people fighting to be seen within systems that don’t always see them clearly. He lives and writes in Arizona, where he continues to explore the connections between movement, resilience, and the stories we carry.
