A Bit About Me
Diversion Books Inc. released Arthur Kerns’ acclaimed espionage thriller, The Riviera Contract, followed by the sequel, The African Contract. The Yemen Contract was released in June 2016.
A new series debuted in March 2020 with Days of the Hunters.
Kerns joined the FBI with a career in counterintelligence and counterterrorism. On retirement, he became a consultant with several US agencies, including Senior Inspector for the Department of State Inspector General Office and a consultant to the Director of Central Intelligence. His lengthy assignments took him to over sixty-five countries.
A past president of the Arizona chapter of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers, he has appeared on several panels for Left Coast Crime and Book Passage Mystery Conferences in Corte Madera, CA. He is a two-time winner of the Coyote for short stories at the Cave Creek Film and Arts Festival. His award-winning short stories appear in anthologies including, Award Winning tales and the Sister-in-Crime anthology, So West: Desert Justice, selected as one of the best books of 2012 by Suspense Magazine. He is working on a mystery based on the unsolved 1929 murder of an FBI agent in Phoenix, which was a winner in the Arizona Author Association Literary Contest.
Book reviews by Kerns appear in the Washington Independent Review of Books. He is a member of the International Thriller Writers, Inc., and Desert Sleuths and Grand Canyon chapters of SINC.
