Grandma Bibi is a good reminder to parents to continue being loving and caring. Dear Grandma and Grandpa/Queridos abuelos is a dual language book, English and Spanish. Vicki co-authored this book with Sonia. Writing this book was a new experience, making decisions on how to work with the text in the design of the book. They decided to keep the English and Spanish text close to each other and used color to differentiate the languages.

The book is useful as a teaching aid, it incorporates days of the week, colors and searching for a little friend on each page. Jackie learns how the postal system works and the importance of being patient while you wait for that important letter to arrive. The book can be helpful for teaching a unit on letter writing, communicating with others, feelings and emotions. Everyone enjoys receiving a personal letter from a friend or relative, especially when it is your grandchild writing. It is an experience that brings joy to both the letter writer and the letter receiver.
