Michelle D. Bates, a native of Chicago now residing in Maricopa, Arizona, is a passionate and imaginative writer dedicated to taking readers on unforgettable journeys through her characters. She firmly believes that reading provides an escape from reality, immersing readers in the worlds and fantasies that stories create. Throughout her life, Michelle has turned to her dreams as a refuge from sadness, frustration, and even boredom, often telling friends and family that her dreams are more exciting than real life. This very idea inspired her to write her first fiction novel, Hidden Appearances, the debut book in the Hidden Appearances tetralogy. She later followed it with the series’ second installment, In the Line of Fire.
