Family man and police officer Howard Hamilton happily works the quiet night shift in the Orchard Hill Police Department. While on patrol at the beach, he finds himself in a situation where he might have used his firearm but froze, prompting him to question his courage and his reason for being a police officer. Then, the unthinkable happens: a rookie officer is shot and killed. While capturing the suspect, he is accused of excessive force when taking him into custody. The Chief transfers him to the dreaded day watch. Within days, a fellow officer dies of a heart attack while in court, and one of his partners accidentally kills another officer while on a hunting trip. The Department is unraveling before his very eyes when another of his fellow officers is arrested for dealing drugs. What is going on in Orchard Hill PD?
As if that is not enough, Hamilton discovers the body of Ginny, the sister of a prominent business owner, who has been the victim of a ritualistic satanic killing. Where will it end?

After finding out that one of his old partners was arrested for dealing drugs, Officer Howard Hamilton is promoted to training officer. His first rookie to train may be a former gang member. How does he deal with that? He finally finds someone to mentor him, but not where he expects. How did he hook up with a retired LAPD Lieutenant? He hates Lieutenants!
A routine suicide investigation turns out to not be so routine. Is it a homicide? He has to team up with a detective who took his job to try to solve this mystery, without jeopardizing his chances of being selected in the future.
His former drug-dealing partner contacts him to become an informant about drugs coming into Orchard Hill. Hamilton does not want anything to do with it but is faced with a dilemma of how to go about stopping the illicit flow of drugs to his community.
Meanwhile, he finds his daughter in a drug house when he picks her up from a party; his wife wants to become a yoga teacher; and he is taking heat at home for conducting an investigation against one of his wife's good friends, the dreaded soccer mom. What could go wrong?

Available Time deals with the anguish and personal tragedy of loss. How a family copes and what it takes to return to a new normal.
Returning to work is difficult for Howard Hamilton, but he did get to go back to his coveted night shift. It did not take long to find himself in another shoot-don't-shoot situation. How was he to know he would confront a hitman and a doctor? Would his mind play games with him again? Would good tactics save the day? Join Howard Hamilton as he tries to figure out how to go home again.

Orchard Hill PD is not immune to the intrigue and changes that drive today's police departments. There are two things that police officers hate. First is the way things are. The second is changing the way things are. Some try to hide on the night or graveyard shift to get away from the inside workings of a PD, but sooner or later, it catches up to everyone, even Detective Howard Hamilton.
Was Hamilton responsible for his Chief losing his job? Are vice crimes really victimless? Are Hamilton's computer skills up to the challenge of complex investigations?
See how Detective Hamilton and his team tackle a simple investigation that turns into an international drug- and human-smuggling cartel chase requiring cooperation at the regional, state, and Federal levels. Ride along with Howard Hamilton in the front seat of his undercover car and a police helicopter.

Making Your Memories With Rock and Roll and Doo Wop: The Music and Artists of the 1950s and Early 1960s is the culmination of eight years as an on-air talent, playing the music that will live forever. Before the British invasion that changed the direction of American music, the sounds created by the era's artists shaped our lives with positive messages of romance, heartbreak, and longing. The words were positive, entertaining, sometimes not completely understood, or nonsensical. The chapters chronicle the themes of the shows performed over the years, intertwined with interviews with those still performing, adding the story behind the words and the artists who sang the songs.
The photos, while a bit self-serving, capture those artists with the author and his wife, many times backstage after a performance. It is a treasure that will always be remembered.
There are quizzes and trivia spread throughout, allowing the reader to go down memory lane and enjoy Making Your Memories.
