Since third grade when Brenda created her first storybook, writing in many forms has been a constant in her life. With a varied background in homeschooling, technical writing, family businesses, and a short career in higher education, Brenda’s experience lends generously to her writing.

Once her three children launched, Brenda finished her bachelor’s degree in English at the University of Kansas and earned her master’s degree in liberal arts at Baker University. She enjoys Bible study and spending time in God’s beautiful creation, hiking, birding, or simply admiring a glorious desert sunset.

Brenda lives with her husband Brian in Tucson, Arizona. They have recently experienced the joy of becoming grandparents. Whether by ship, plane, or train, they love to travel together. Occasionally, Brenda joins Brian for a motorcycle ride, and they are always game for a road trip.

One of Brenda and Brian’s travel adventures is the subject of her first published book, Ramblings & Roundabouts: An American Couple’s Travels in Europe—Mostly by Motorhome. The updated and expanded edition, covering their second camping trip in Europe, will be published soon.
