Bette Packer worked as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS) for the City of Minneapolis inspecting commercial kitchens, small food manufacturing facilities, groceries, and pools. Her mystery novels take the reader behind kitchen doors into the unique setting of restaurant food preparation, with a murder or two woven into the story--unlike real life, thank goodness.

She and her husband have been snowbirds for twenty years, enjoying the blue skies in Green Valley during the winter, and the green surroundings of Minnesota in the summer. She likes to bake and cook, garden in the summer where there are no cactus spines or snakes, read, and work on her novels and short stories.

There is nothing better than a warm chocolate cookies and a good mystery.
